Music lovers of all ages are invited to enjoy a free community concert
on the opening day of HonoluluÕs Aloha International Piano Festival (AIPF).
A highlight of the concert promises to be celebrated pianist and local
star Lisa Nakamichi,
who will perform the Brahms Chaconne in D minor (for left hand alone).
Visiting concert pianist Noriko
Uenaka will also
delight audiences with works by TBD. In addition,
young winners of the 2008, 2009 and 2010 AIPF piano competitions will
perform.

Program: Three Beethoven Sonatas, "Moonlight," "Tempest" and "Appassionata"
A native of Los Angeles, Norman Krieger is one of the most acclaimed
pianists of his generation, highly regarded as an artist of depth, sensitivity
and virtuosic flair. He appears regularly with the major orchestras of
North America and has also been heard as guest soloist with orchestras
throughout the world. He is an Associate Professor at the University
of Southern California.
